One of the industry’s premier events is almost upon us – The Streaming Forum 2018. This years’ event promises to be a real humdinger of an opportunity for industry professionals to network at London’s ExCel venue at the reception, lunch and coffee breaks throughout the event, and to find out more about Building Smarter OTT Services through panel discussions, keynote speeches and debates about the latest opportunities and challenges within the industry.
On Tuesday 27th February, proceedings will kick off with a welcome from the Conference Chair, the editor of Streaming Media USA, Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen, who will introduce the first keynote speaker of the day, Jeff Webb.
Jeff, the Principal Streaming Architect of Sky, UK, will offer valuable insights into what it really means to operate at scale for millions of daily customers. An excellent panel discussion will follow on with Broadcaster Streaming Strategies, and how the best possible viewing experiences for end users can be created – discussing scaling issues, strategies and how working together can deliver better services. After a much-needed coffee break and networking opportunity, we will be thrown into a plethora of fascinating talks, including sports broadcasting, AI, use of the Cloud for live streaming and much more from speakers from Amazon, Streamroot, M2A Media and IBM to name but a few.
Running alongside the Streaming Forum at ExCel, and over three days, is the BVE Expo, the largest forum in the UK with more than 300 leading brands expected to showcase the latest products, technology and solutions.
Also at BVE, the 15,000 or so attendees will have the chance to visit six free theatres, with 200 expert industry professionals delivering content to help attendees look at other ways they can deliver theirs.
To close the packed event, and before the drinks reception, the future of OTT Services will be examined by a respected European panel, who will review the biggest challenges raised during the conference and offer cutting-edge strategic insights into what the future of OTT and its successful services may well look like.
The Streaming Forum 2018 is truly a not-to-be-missed opportunity for industry professionals from all broadcasting sectors to leverage the latest ideas and strategies for the best chance of success, how to harness the power of the latest technology, products and applications, and how to take the most successful strategies to the next level.
Join us at one of the industry’s premier events next month. We look forward to networking with you – see you there.
